Consequences:
We expect our 6th grade students to follow all expectations at all time. Not only are they old enough and mature enough, but they are also acting as role models for the rest of the school. However, mistakes happen, and we are all human. Students were placed on House teams at the beginning of the school year. Each day they can earn points for excellent behavior, 100% homework, and anything else that is worthy of points. Students may also lose points for misbehavior. The team with the most points after about 4 weeks of school will earn a small surprise/party. If a student is continually losing points for his/her team, the student will be removed from the team and put on a separate behavior contract with consequences that reflect solely on that student.
